Question Gen 1 Future releases?

BUT... please keep in mind that we also spent most of December through March releasing two stories per week, typically one from G1 and one from G2 or Library. We had spent most of a year building up a supply of things to release in a certain order and then put it out there, half a novel a week, for 1/3 of a year. And then we no longer had months of releases waiting to go out, and in fact, the 'next' things in the planning stage actually rely on MORE planning than normal (most of the 'upcoming' G1 stories are year TWO stories... and we have a freshman class to build, plots to integrate, and so on to make sure we're all on the same page before we start delving into the school year). But before we can do that, El and E.E. have some bows they want to tie up with some Summer stories.
So Morpheus has a couple of new freshman things that he's holding on to waiting for the right time. I've got a couple things in progress for the year two time frame... but they're not ready to go out yet.
However... for the last couple weeks, our release choice has been pretty much dictated by "What DO we have ready?" and its been G2 stuff... and not much of a selection. Why? Because that's where most of the current work is going on... four or five authors are working daily on feeding scenes to the core storyline there, while also working on their own tangent pieces.
But good news. As is often the case... we just went from sending it out as fast as it comes in to "everyone finished stuff at the same time" ... So, I haven't had any G1 stories to offer for a month. This Monday, I have to choose between three or four G1, and one or two G2 pieces. Pretty sure at this point, its going to be a G1 release... but which one? Now that would be telling (and would ruin all the fun of the bakery gambling olympics team).

Hmm... What do you mean by New? New like China? Or New like Atlantis?
I wanna say 6S, but meh, could be anything.

Nothing so grand as China or Atlantis. Far smaller in scope. But something that I'm hoping will be a post that new stories and characters and maybe even storylines will be able to build off of.

So we'll finally get a peek inside the USPS and their innovative uses of mutation to further de-expedite delivery of important documents?

Eh, everyone'll see what we mean when it releases. I wouldn't really call it a spin-off universe.

Alternatively, DeVille Academy (since Bek briefly covered its origins in the Wiki's History of the MCO and a bit more info's revealed in Evil Christmas) or the Yama Dojo (although the latter might be more in the realm of some of the G2 authors, who have knowledge of Japan).

Kristin Darken wrote: We all know Bek is constantly creating new universes that everyone wants to write in... but I think this may be the first time for creating a story universe WITHIN a story universe. We've retroactively placed Lady Lightning as a movie franchise in the WU... so that was 'close'.... but this one is a 'sub-setting' of the WU from the start. Very meta.
... Totally didn't notice that that was WOG until now...
Hmm... One of the Lit Chicks' novels.

In other news... Musing about new settings for Gen1.
Moonbase? One of the Poles... ... Another Outer Space story? ... Somewhere in the Deep Astral, like the Ethereal, now that'd be trippy? ... FantasticVoyagePlot?

Kayda. (quite obvious - dangling plot line or two)
Danny (also obvious - he's a chew toy and probably a point of amusement for many)
Charge. (some obvious angles, some not-so-obvious)
Headrush. (no OBVIOUS plot angles)
Others - roles not clear (or at least I'm not going to reveal them

Shine (definitely a fun character)
Knockoff (possibilities)
Elle Ruud (the ice sidhe queen. possibilities)
So now y'all can guess what kinds of tales will be written here. Rampant speculation, wild-ass-guesses, informed deductions - all are welcome.

Hopefully in G1Y2 we'll see some more Whisper (at least partially for the sake of plot convenience, upon arriving at Whateley she kept her head down and blended into the background), while it's possible that in addition to Stacy turning up at Whateley, Madcap / Golden Angel / whatever she's calling herself by then will do so to. We already know Mischief will be starting Whateley (whereupon we'll get our first look at the Art Department, as it's almost inconceivable that we won't be treated to Melissa realising just who her art teacher is...), together with however many of the eight (of the original dozen) Loose Cannons survive the trip.

Idea: Portmanteau the two names. ... Mad Angel. ... Mad Gold (Not Mad God) ... Goldencap? (Oh! Like Goldenhood??) ... Golden Madness... (Now you're just scraping for names...) Angelcap? (Okay, that's pretty good, even if it doesn't actually fit her? ... Let's stop here...)

... Psychaurum. Easy-peasy!
--Dave, and, looking through the MCO's database, I see it's not taken yet!
ps: calling her Psychoauro Chapeauxreaux just gets her confused. Er, more confused.
