    • The Australian Liberal government under Scott Morrison is in the process of being removed from office by the Australian Governor General after three MP's and the PM (Scomo) were found to be conducting illegal activities. This means...Australia currently has no functional government.

    I'm not looking for political debate here. I'm reporting this as ASIS is currently enforcing a news-blackout on the issue. The governor General has invoked section 64 of the Australian Constitution, which allows them to remove and replace a government currently in power if said government has committed a serious crime. As you may be aware, the Governor General is the Queen's representative in Australian Parliament.

    Why go to that much effort? Just re-elect them while they're still in jail (at least you know where they've been).

    • Welcome to the club, I guess. Belgium lost its federal government this week. The infighting and games about immigration became too much.

    Anyway, it happens so much everybody here roles their eyes and government automatically goes in to caretaker mode until next election. Then the same bunch, now hoping they get more votes with this manoeuvre, get back into the government.

    LOL Miami...the 80's for that city are used in train classes of epic corruption...one graduating class form the police academy...the whole class to the last man, was jailed for felony drug crimes!

    If memory serves, one guy crashed his Corvette that cost more than 2 years pay and with a kilo or 2 under the seat!
