So, since I can't think of a reason for anyone to pick those codenames, I'm asking you guys to help me out!
Just for fun!
If you guys want to submit codenames for people to give reasons for, go ahead!

And it's a derogatory name anyway, given to him by the other SteamPunk Gadgeteers as his inventions all use steam to drive electric turbines and nobody can tell they are SteamPunk devices anyway.

Haven't read it. I just thought of it as its a commonly used word to reference a pretty woman.

Mmm... True... I don't think a woman would want to be called Dollface for the rest of her career? Unless she does?
Another reason could be that she's a porcelain Manifestor, and so a porcelain mask = Dollface.

Not unless her BIT made it so. To have her face have the characteristics of a doll? Or perhaps to have it where if someone were to place a porcelain mask of her making to which they that on its characteristic features.Malady wrote:

Was going to say the same thing. Or a fetish for steam locomotives.
Can you imagine a steam loco with a nuclear reactor as the heat source.

I agree. If it can run off steam they can make it. Or have steam come out their ears.

Captain Antiquity is a British Anti-hero/vigilante. He dresses and acts like a 1850's British Colonial Military officer, and is the most racist, sexist, bigoted son of a bitch that you'll meet. He's also a glory hound, so every villian that he beats down, is blatantly marked so the local authorities know exactly 'bought this miscreant to justice.'
How's that?

Can see him pictured with the Union Jack placed on him somewhere thus drawing the ire of many, not really caring who he offends.
Sounds good.

Not really, but that didn't stop the guys who made the disastrously awful TV series Supertrain . Ugh. I have a vague recollection of the show, but like with the Star Wars Holiday Special, I thought it had been a nightmare I'd had as a child until I came across it again years later.
As for the topic at hand, while it isn't a codename, I did think that naming the Yama Dodos' handler 'Shibari Tanoshimi' (or perhaps 'Kinbaku Tanoshimi' would be more accurate, though given the mangling of the verb that's a dubious argument) would be amusing.

So an electric locomotive is probably technically feasible. But in the end, it's not cost-effective -- it's cheaper to electrify the railroad and draw power from stationary, more efficient powerplants.

Sir Lee wrote: Actually... nuclear powerplants ARE steam engines, sort of. Except they usually use steam turbines to run an electrical generators, instead of pistons linked directly to the wheels.

Most modern train engines are diesel-electric hybrids. The diesel engine powers a generator that provides electricity to the motors that drive thd train.
